Forklifts: high maneuverability, maneuverability and stability

Modern industry cannot be imagined without lifting and transporting bulky goods. No construction site, no production workshop or industrial warehouse is complete without moving large, heavy goods, structures, materials and tools.

In order to minimize the physical efforts of employees and optimize the workflow for lifting and moving loads, special devices are used – powerful functional loaders.

The main purpose of the loader is to lift and move cargo over short distances, for example, within a construction site, a shopping complex or a workshop.

Given the wide range of applications of these machines, manufacturers are adapting different models of trucks to work in different conditions and with different types of cargo.

For example, for work on a construction site, where loads are moved over relatively long distances on uneven surfaces, diesel-powered forklifts are often used with high power.

For loading operations in confined spaces, for example, in workshops or warehouses, mini-loaders are often used, which are compact in size and good maneuverability.

Telescopic handlers

Telescopic handlers belong to a class of universal loading equipment designed for work in various operating conditions. Loaders of this type are equipped with a telescopic boom, on which various attachments are attached: hook, forks, grain bucket, pipe grab, concrete mixer, grab bucket and other devices that provide wide functionality of the loader.

Depending on the engine power and design features, telescopic handlers have different lifting capacities and boom lift heights. The telescopic boom can be fitted with chains or a hydraulic cylinder to extend the folded boom. At the same time, the boom sections are held with the help of special anti-wear pads, which significantly increases the equipment resource.

Telescopic handlers can be used for lifting, loading and transporting loads of various dimensions. In addition, the telescopic handler’s telescopic boom can carry loads over high obstacles.

Due to their wide functionality, telescopic loaders are used for work on uneven roads, for the arrangement of wells, for cleaning streets, making and supplying concrete. Telescopic forklifts equipped with forks can be used in agriculture and perform almost all the functions of small tractors.

Lift trucks

Compact and manoeuvrable mini-loaders are designed for loading and unloading operations in confined spaces, for example, in warehouses, shopping and industrial complexes, airports or train stations.

With their small size, modern mini-loaders are characterized by high lifting capacity, which allows these devices to be used wherever high productivity is required.

Skid steer loaders can be equipped with electric, petrol, diesel or gas engines. Mini-loaders with electric motors, as a rule, are equipped with built-in rechargeable batteries, so their operation is possible away from the mains.

As a rule, battery or gas forklifts are used for work in enclosed spaces, since they do not emit harmful gases. Diesel and petrol skid steer loaders are most often used in open spaces with good ventilation, as well as for work requiring high engine power.

Modern mini-loaders are highly maneuverable. Due to the small outer turning radius, these devices can be used in the cramped conditions of warehouses or shops.

In addition, mini-loaders, thanks to additional attachments, can perform the functions of other equipment, for example, to clear snow, transport bulk materials, and be used to level soft soils.

Forklift trucks

Forklift trucks are designed for lifting and moving goods on pallets outdoors. A distinctive feature of forklift trucks is the ability of autonomous robots up to 23 hours long.

Modern forklift trucks are equipped with diesel, gasoline or gas engines, due to which they are characterized by high power and the ability to move at relatively high speeds (25 – 30 kilometers per hour). In addition, the presence of an internal combustion engine allows forklift trucks to work without long interruptions to recharge.

Forklift trucks with diesel and gasoline engines are generally only used outdoors due to exhaust fumes. Devices with gas engines do not emit abundant exhaust gases, therefore they can also be used in closed rooms.

The increased working life of modern forklift trucks allows to ensure the duration of operation of up to 50 thousand operating hours. In addition, such devices are distinguished by high carrying capacity and can transport loads weighing several tons.

Due to the possibility of replacing the main working equipment, modern forklift trucks are able to lift and transport loads of various sizes and configurations.

These modern technological devices are widely used in warehouses for various purposes, construction sites, airports and train stations, where you often have to deal with the need to lift and transport heavy loads.
