Maeda is a pioneer in the production of spider cranes, and the range of spider cranes and crawler cranes is the market leader in Japan. Maeda has been creating products to meet global needs since 1980 and has grown to become the world’s largest mini crane manufacturer.
Maeda mini cranes are compact enough to fit through a standard doorway and powerful enough to handle heavy lifting on site while maintaining excellent maneuverability and flexibility. New applications of this technique are being discovered every day, and everywhere users see benefits in both time and cost savings.
For indoor work, the Maeda spider crane is becoming more and more popular as the electric motor enables gas-free work in confined spaces.

Glazing works
Using vacuum manipulators, glass can be installed where needed, even under a roof. Another popular mini spider crane app for enclosed spaces, narrow spaces and narrow aisles.

Сonfined spaces
By using the working range limitation function, safe hoisting operation can be achieved even when there are obstacles that need to be avoided, such as power lines.

Curtain wall installation
Mini cranes can be transported to the upper floors of tall buildings by service lifts and then used to mount exterior walls such as glass frames by lifting the rope from above in several steps.

Roof work
There is no need to block roads to use larger cranes, and work normally done by tower cranes can be done by mini cranes that can be easily lifted to the roof using elevators.

Civil engineering
Used for lifting building materials at airports, train stations, etc. With easy access to tight spaces, Maeda mini cranes have been used on many projects.

Household construction
Minicranes are successfully used to lift building materials from inside and outside residential buildings. Easy access from the edge of the cliffs to the courtyards is a feature of the Maeda mini cranes, which the larger cranes cannot.

Plants and factories
For equipment maintenance, line replacement and material lifting where bridge cranes are not available and where space is scarce, such as automobile manufacturers, chemical plants and factories

Equipment installation
With excellent accessibility, Maeda mini cranes are used to mount display panels, advertising structures and signage in large commercial buildings such as shopping malls, stadiums and theaters.

Power plants
In power plants and substations where power lines are everywhere, the computerized operating range limitation function prevents the booms from connecting to the power lines, so lifting work is safe

Shipbuilding and ship repair
Mini cranes play an active role in lifting operations in coastal areas, in shipyards and on ships. The compact body can be transported to various locations and carry out various types of lifting work.

Oil and gas industry
With its compact body and easy transportation, Maeda mini cranes are used in oil rigs, as well as resource exploration, gas, refinery and mining industries.

Installation of art objects
For work in hard-to-reach places (museums, courtyards). Smooth maneuverability makes it possible to carry delicate works of art, while the electrically operated option is suitable for exhaust-free interior work.

Tunnel / Subway
Mini cranes are often used to work inside tunnels for the construction of subways, underground roads, underground structures, water pipes and power lines, where the working space is limited.

Military industry
Thanks to tracks, mini cranes can work on the most uneven terrain. The cranes can be balanced horizontally with four legs and can be used even on stairs and uneven surfaces.

Aviation industry
For maintenance, replacement of aircraft and helicopter components at maintenance facilities. Mini spiders have even been airlifted to remote locations for maintenance work.

Stone works
The Maeda mini cranes were born out of the need for machine assistance in extremely narrow aisles in Japanese cemeteries. Now they are used to install garden, gravestone and monumental stones around the world.

Railway
Maeda mini cranes are used for lifting construction materials and goods from the railroad and on the railroad, for the construction and maintenance of railways and the railway industry.

Forestry
Even in the mountains, where access is difficult, with hilly terrain and no paved surfaces, mini spider cranes are used to lift cut lumber. They have a high carrying capacity, maneuverability and easy handling.
Development and design
The development and design of mini cranes is carried out by the Maeda engineering team. Developers travel all over the world to research market needs. Then, based on the results of the research, they develop machines that reflect the demand in the global market.
In recent years, compliance with the latest emission standards, taking into account the environmental impact, has been a fundamental part of this research and ensured that all cranes meet the standards required by each country.
In addition, we design eco-friendly and user-friendly machines with ease of use, safety, durability and easy maintenance.
Japanese technology
Japanese technology is the best in the world, and MAEDA’s “Made in Japan” policy stands for top class, consistent design and manufacturing in Japan.
When we adhere to our policy of excellence in terms of accuracy and safety, balancing development time and cost can sometimes be difficult. However, our development team never adopts less stringent standards and only develops products that we can offer with confidence.
A factory where the safety of workers is a priority is always kept in order and order. In fact, even the smallest parts of spare parts and tools have dedicated storage and control areas.
Compactness and endurance
Maximum compactness of machines is the most difficult part of mini-crane manufacturing.
The boom is one of the most important components of mini cranes. The materials used are very thin and light high strength steel which is very difficult to machine. Materials are processed and then formed into a boom that fully meets standard boom design tolerances.
Welding heat causes deformation and deformation of the steel, so the surface of the boom must be carefully adjusted by adding heat and pressure from within by experienced workers to keep it perfectly flat. Then the arrows are assembled with cylinders inside and undergo the final stage of testing.
Installation work
The assembly work of mini cranes is done by experienced workers, and there are various procedures and protocols to prevent errors. Each crane is manufactured in the most efficient way, effortlessly, to ensure the highest quality control standards. For example, to prevent accidental forgetting of tightening screws, each worker checks the head of each screw with a marker after tightening, while in another example, each worker uses a checklist listing at least 200 items to make sure there is no error during each assembly process.
Each crane is tested at 140 test points before shipment. After passing these rigorous checks, Maeda mini cranes leave the factory worldwide.
